From Tim (the Drifter):

Thank you to all of our fallen men and women that stood for me and my country protecting my freedoms. Whether they died in battle or later in life, they wrote a check to my country that may include giving their life for our county’s freedoms.

I am grateful for their service. When I talk to people about appreciating our veterans I quote a bumper sticker I saw traveling once, it said “ If you can read this thank a teacher, If it is in English thank a soldier” in my mind it is a great message. Again thank you to all those veteran’s, First Responders, Police, Firefighters, and EMTs that are serving and have served to protect MY livilyhood and freedoms.

Early Origins of the Leonhardt family

The surname Leonhardt was first found in Frankfurt, where the name could be considered to have made a great contribution to the feudal society which became the backbone of modern Europe. The name is a Roman-German mixed compounded of Leo (lion) and "Hard," the mediaeval German word for "brave." St. Leonhardt was the patron saint of farmers and of horses. The name became prominent in local affairs and branched into many houses which played important roles in the savage tribal and national conflicts, in which each group sought power and status in an ever changing territorial profile.
